Materials for a Gang Run may also be automatically allocated provided that the user enters the material usage immediately following the production entry. That is, if the user, instead, enters material usage by clicking the Material button ("Shop Floor Data Collection" screen), the user will then be required to enter usage separately for each job.
Method to automatically allocate material usage:
Enter labor activity for a Gang Run.
For a Start Time Only employee, when appropriate, start a new production activity that will end the Gang Run process. The system will then prompt the user whether a material usage entry is desired. If “Yes”, the system will display the "Material Usage" screen with “Gang Run” entered in the Job Number field.
For Start Time, End Time and Elapsed Time employees, the screen will display the first job number in the Gang Run (i.e. not “Gang Run”); however, the material usage will be allocated correctly to the jobs in the Gang Run.
Complete data entries on the "Material Usage" screen and click OK to save the data.
