Option: "Calculate Sheetfed Spoilage By Press Forms"

This option will apply to press “run” spoilage only and will not apply to makeready spoilage. If selected, the system will take into account the number of “outs” on the press sheet when calculating run spoilage.

Example
:
Component Qty = 500; Untrim Sig = 8.5 x 11 (press form)
Press sheet = 17 x 22, 4 out; Lots =12
Spoilage Table:  as shown below

For this example:
A. If the option “Calculate Sheetfed Spoilage by Press Forms” is selected:

The spoilage table option “Based on Press Sheets” will not apply. The run spoilage quantity will be “500” (component qty) x “1” (press forms) = 500 and the spoilage rate from the table would be 15%.

B.  If the option is not selected and the “Based on Press Sheets” table option is selected:

The run spoilage quantity will be “500” (component qty) x “12” (Lots)/”4”(outs) =1500 and the spoilage rate would be 10%.

C.  If the option is not selected and the “Based on Press Sheets” table option is not selected:

The run spoilage quantity will be “500” (component qty) and the spoil rate would be 15%. .
