Diary Notes

Diary Notes may be viewed from various screens throughout the Enterprise system.

 

In Customer Menu, select Diary Notes button and the system will display notes that apply.

 

 

Diary Notes Screen

Functions on this screen:

View

Select View to view a note (highlight an item).

Add/Edit

Click Add or Edit, however, and the system will display the following:

Fields/options on this screen:

Department Code

The “Department Code” field will tie the note to the Department defined for Data Collection.

Notify Users

Select option "Notify Users"and the Diary Note screen will pop up whenever one of the users entered in the "List of Users to Notify" accesses the job in Estimating/Order Entry.

  

Notify Users on Login

Select option "Notify Users on Login"and the Diary Note screen will pop up whenever one of the users entered in the "List of Users to Notify" logs into the Enterprise system.

 

On the Front screen of Enterprise the Diary Notes button will begin to blink within a minute of a diary note being entered with the notification including the user. Also the Enterprise......blue bar on the user's task bar will begin to blink.

List of Users to Notify

To add a user to notify, select the appropriate Login Name from the drop-down list, then click Add and the user will be added to the list.

 

Delete

To delete a note, just highlight the note and click Delete.

Acknowledge

The system will allow multiple users to be notified with a Diary Note.  Each user will have a unique record of whether or not the user has acknowledged the note.

The "Acknowledge" button will allow a user to acknowledge a Diary Note. The "Diary Note" button in Data Collection will show a "green” highlight when all notes have been acknowledged.

Only one user will be required to acknowledge the note for the button in Data Collection to show "green".

 

If a diary note is available for a customer, the user will note that the "Diary Notes" button on the Customer Maintenance screen will display in "blue".
