The system will automatically create a Back Order for a Finished Goods item (within the Shipping Module) if sufficient inventory does not exist to satisfy a shipment. Specific customer can be exempted from this setting.

The system will not create a Back Order for a Finished Goods item (within the Shipping Module) if sufficient inventory does not exist to satisfy a shipment and will allow the On Hand balance to become a negative amount. Users can create Back Orders manually by changing the Job Status within Work In Progress datagrid.
