Material Codes are used through to select various types of material to associate with a process or a the base material to print on.
The following table will help define where and when a material type will display.

* Finished Goods Material Items can be used in Sheetfed Components provided they are defined as being allowed to.
Simply Select the drop down arrow beside the Material code field to display the choice that will be filter for the specific area. For example; processes (prepress and postpress areas) will have Standard Items displayed whereas in the stock section of a web component will have Roll Stock displayed.
This will bring up the Material List for the specific area arranged by Categories with items for the selected category below. The user can check the List Items from All Categories checkbox to have ALL the materials from that area listed in the Items section. This works well for searching on one of the grid headers to filter down the list when a specific category may not be known.
