Inactive - Cost Centers and Processes

Updated April 9, 2024

Applies to : Cost Centers, Processes

If the Inactive checkbox option is set, the item will be removed from the list that may be selected for new Estimates and Orders. It will still be accessible from the File Maintenance module for reference.

Cost Centers and Processes

If a Cost Center or Process is made Inactive it will simply not be able to be selected from within an Estimate or Order, effectively hiding it from the user.

Cost Center

Process

However, if an estimate or order is selected that was prepared previously using the Cost Center or Process when it was active, the information will still be visible and editable if it is in the estimate or order.

If the estimate or order is being opened, copied or converted that has either a Cost Center that has been made Inactive or a specific Process that has been made Inactive, the information will remain visible but the user will be prompted with a warning.

NOTE that if it is just the Cost Center that is made inactive, any process that falls under that Cost Center will show up on the list even if the individual processes have not been made Inactive.
