If either Parent Sheets, Finish Sheets, or Press Sheets is selected as a Costing Method, and if a value is entered in the Inches Per Cycle field, then the Units Per Cycle value will be overridden by the Inches Per Cycle and the caliper of the paper stock.
That is, in this case, Units Per Cycle = Inches Per Cycle divided by Caliper.
If nothing is entered in this field, then the system will default to the value entered in the Units per Cycle field.
As an example, the user might want to define a cutting process that will typically handle a 2-inch lift of paper (i.e. Inches Per Cycle). If this process is selected to cut a 0.0100 caliper stock, the system in this case would automatically calculate 200 sheets of stock for each lift.
It will be a good idea to enter a default value in the Units per Cycle field. Then, if caliper has not been defined the system will default to the value in the Units per Cycle field. Otherwise, if Caliper is 0, the system would calculate 0 lifts.
