Reps Per Pass

This field is one of the most misunderstood fields within the system. It will be helpful for the user to think of this field as “Maximum Repetitions (or operations) Per Pass”.  

 

 

This field will allow the user to define a process in which more than one operation may be performed in each production cycle. For example, the user might want to create a process for a three-head drilling machine. In this case, the Reps. Per Pass would be 3, since the machine will be able to drill up to 3 holes in a single pass.

 

If, in the estimate, the user inputs 1, 2, or 3 holes to be drilled, the system will then calculate the time required for one pass through the machine. If, however, the user inputs a requirement for 4 holes, the system would determine that two passes would be required, and the % for Add'l Reps field would apply.
