Cost Center View Job Location

Updated May 21, 2023

Applies to : Bucket Schedule

The color picker allows the user to choose a color that will indicate, in the Cost Center View, where in the schedule a job is currently based on the last production entry.

The current Cost Center that the Job is in is defined by the Next Cost Center value. In other words, if a Job has 10 scheduled events and 6 are Complete, then even though the 7th scheduled event has not been started the system will color code the Job on the Cost Center View as being in the 7th event. If a scheduled event has been started then system will use the color code for that Cost Center.

For example; the user may be looking at the Cost Center View for Bindery. Prepress Production has been Completed and the Job is in Plate Making. Plate Making has not bee started so the highlighted color would indicate that the Job is in Plate Making. Subsequently, when the Job has been marked Complete in Plate Making and is being worked on the Press, the color would indicate the Job is in the Press Cost Center.
