The Minutes per Unit Costing Method can be used for operations that may not require down to the minute precision or have a standard set time.
For example; Plates that are imaged will pass through a platesetter at a standard set time or a prepress operators time may be charged out in 15 minute increments.
In order for the calculation to work correctly the process must have a Costing Method set to Minutes per Unit and a value in the Minutes per Unit field. These 2 fields must be filled out in order for the calculation to work.
With this information the process will be calculated based on;
Cost = (Input Quantity * Minutes per Unit) * Hourly Rate
