Side Guide

The Side Guide value is subtracted from the Length of the Press Sheet. From the result, a calculation is made to determine if the Finished Size will fit on the remaining Press Sheet. Depending on other options the system will try to calculate the best number of Outs for that Press Sheet.

 

 

Each component type has a unique label for the Finished Size.

If the calculation results in a value greater than the Press Sheet Length the system will enter a 0 in the number Outs field and will not let the user calculate or save the component.

Flexo

In a Flexo component the Side Guide default translates to the Side Margin Field and is applied to BOTH sides of the sheet to be added to the Running Roll Width.
