Employee Information

Employees are added to the system for a variety of reasons. The main purpose is for Data Collection but it can be a good repository for all employee's information.

 

 

Code : The employee code is a reference used by the system. The code may include from 1 to 5 alphanumeric characters.

Social Security : Informational. Due to confidentiality issues it is recommendation to leave this field blank or limit the access permissions to File Maintenance.

Employee Name : For users to be able to identify their code from with the system.

First Name : Informational

Last Name : Informational

Address : Informational

City : Informational

State : Informational

Country : Informational

Work Phone : Informational

Mobile Phone : Informational

Mobile Provider : (For US Customers Only)

Email : This field is used for correspondence and will autopopulate when exporting reports from within the system to email.

Employee Start Date : Informational

PlantID : If the system is configured as a multi plant organization (additional purchase from EPMS), the employee may be assigned to either no plant which allows them to be accesed from all plants or assigned to a specific plant.

Login Name : (Non Shop Floor Employees) Users can be associated with a Login Name for default population of fields throughout the system.

 

NOTE

It is possible to select a Login Name and then Shop Floor Employee box. However, once the Shop Floor Employee option is selected the Login Name will be emptied and gray out. The only way to add the employee to a DC User login is through the User Manager.

 

Employee Types

Employees can belong to 1 or more types with the exception of Shop Floor Employees. Selecting Shop Floor Employee will grey out the other 3 options. 

 

Shop Floor Employee : A Shop Floor employee is a type of employee that can be designated to Departments within Data Collection in order to record time and materials in production. A Shop Floor Employee cannot also be designated as Customer Service, Estimator, or Purchasing agent.

Customer Service Rep : This option allows the employee to be chosen from wherever the CSR field is available.

Estimator : This option allows the employee to be chosen from wherever the Estimator field is available.

Estimate Limit : This option will

Purchasing Agent : This option allows the employee to be chosen from within the Purchasing Module.

Purchase Order Limit : This field will limit the total value of a single Purchase Order that the employee may create from within the Purchasing Module.

 

Terminate Button : This button will function as a toggle to indicate whether the employee is active or not.
