Process Code - Scheduling

This field will define the type of production work being performed. When the cursor is in the Process Code field, the employee will view different lists of processes (for selection) in the display window depending on options set in the Job Costing, as follows:

  1. A list of default processes for the department

  2. Or, a list of processes entered for the job

  3. Or, a list of processes entered for the component

 

The options set in Job Costing are: "Show only materials/processes pertinent to the job in Data Collection"; and, "Show only materials/processes pertinent to the component in Data Collection".  

 

The List Job/List All toggle button will also affect the display. With either option set, the system will initially display a list of default processes that have been entered for the Department. Click the List Job toggle button and the system will display processes for the job or component depending on the option selected.

 

Regardless of the option selected, in order for processes to show in the list, they must be entered as default processes for the Department. If neither option is selected,  then only those processes entered as default processes (for the Department) will be listed.
