Calculate By Press Forms

Applies to : Prepress Processes for Sheetfed and Web Components ONLY

Sheetfed Components

This option will calculate the prepress process Input Quantity based on the Number of Sides x # of Press Forms (calculated or with the Override Forms field in the Component Layout tab). Then the process will calculate Production Cost based on the Costing Method.

 

Note: The option does not account for Imposition Style. For example; Work & Turn, Work  & Tumble and Work & Swirl will be calculated as having 2 sides and therefore will have 2 times all calculation even though they use the same plates.

With the option Use Cost Grid checked the Unit Cost will be determined by the Grid Tiers.

 

 

By default the system calculates the # of Press Forms automatically. However the user may opt to change the result by entering a value into the Override Press Forms field.

Web Components

Web Components are calculated solely on the value entered into the # of Signatures field or through the Override Press Forms value if it is greater than 0.
