Typically, Completion Codes will be required whenever a process is completed in Job Costing or Data Collection. Select this option and a Completion Code will not be required.
An example of such a process would be a Lunch process where the user would simply start the next production job after returning from a lunch break.
Another example in production may have the company want the Data Collection user to automatically log into an "Idle - No Work" process to start a shift, thereby not requiring the user to log directly into a job when in fact they are simply arriving to work.
This would be indicated when setting up the Department in Job Costing.
When the user begins work on a specific job by retrieving a specific the job in Data Collection and begins the work. This helps eliminate unnecessary costs being allocated to a specific job until it is actually being worked on. In this case the "Idle - No Work" process is automatically completed and the new process begins.
