Caliper Factor

When setting up a paper category the user can enter a Caliper Factor.  This is an up to 7 decimal place number that can be used to calculate Caliper thickness using the below simple formula;

Basis Weight (BWT) * Caliper Factor = Caliper Thickness

 

 

In Estimating/OE on the Sheetfed and Web stock screens the Caliper field label can be calculate when the Caliper button is initiated. This formula will calculate as long as the Category has a Caliper Factor that it belongs to and a BWT > 0.
