Bleed Option

Select this option to apply a bleed trim to a component. If the option is not checked than the Bleeds Horiz./Vert. fields will be greyed out. If the option is checked the system will display the Bleeds Horiz./Vert. data fields in the above the Final Page Size label and will be defaulted (if not changed) to the Default Ink Coverage.

 

 

The amount entered in the Bleeds Horiz./Vert. will add dimension to the Untrim/Sig Flat (Finished Size) Width and Length Size. This in turn may change how many outs that can be calculated from the Press Sheet Size.

 

For example if the bleeds are set to 0.125 on an Untrim/Sig Flat size of 8.5x11" then the effective Untrim/Sig Flat size will be 8.625x11.125" for calculations relating to outs.
